Fewer KPIs
A performance meeting with sixty measures is a meeting about none of them.

Measures accumulate the way files do: each one added for a good reason, none of them ever removed. Eventually the monthly pack runs to forty pages and the meeting runs out of time before it reaches the decisions.
Try this. For each measure, ask what decision it informs and who makes it. If nobody can answer, move the measure to an appendix. Most teams find they can run the business on a page.
Measure what you are prepared to act on.
